My approach
What I teach is less about stretching and fitness, or relaxation and aiming to 'feel good'—although these may be by-products. It is about learning to sense into the body as a source of intelligence, and to spend less time caught in our distracted minds.
I use asana (postures) and pranayama (breath practices) and meditation to support the subtle energy of the body (prana) and our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. These practices guide us back into relationship with our bodies, the natural world, and its cycles and seasons.
I’m deeply interested in and respectful of the yogic traditions, but I don’t claim a depth of scholarly knowledge or years spent studying in India. What I do bring is decades of personal practice and experience of yoga, alongside teacher training from the traditional Krishnamacharya lineage.
In a rapidly changing and often unpredictable world, I believe these supportive, grounding and embodied practices are import to anchor and support us.

"Great, perfect. Just what we needed after a full weekend. Took my girlfriend visiting from Sydney, she wishes she had access to your style of calming yoga. She destressed before her 3 hour drive home.
